The Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport recently held a strategic planning workshop.

The workshop, facilitated by Deputy Permanent Secretary Ivor Daniel, aimed to examine the successes and shortcomings of the Ministry of Infrastructure over the past years, and to position the ministry and staff to meet the expectations of the public.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Allison A. Jean, in her opening remarks told participants to view the strategic planning exercise as an opportunity for retrospection and introspection. She was hopeful that at the conclusion of the exercise, the ministry would be in a position to better dispense its mandate.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport Hon. Philip J. Pierre commended the staff of the ministry for the quality of work and the efficient use of limited resources over the last four years. He added that because the work of the Ministry of Infrastructure impacts on lives, people's futures and their well being, staff must strive at all times to deliver the highest quality of work.
