TAIWAN FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2022
The Department of Education, Innovation and Gender Relations informs of the call for applications for the Taiwan Fellowship Programme organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan.
Eligibility
Recipients shall be professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral programme students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
Research Time Frame and Topics
- Recipients will begin their research in January 2022. The terms of the fellowship are 3 to 12 months;
- Issues related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, COVID and International Politics, Information/Cyber Security, National Defense Strategy, Disinformation, Gender Equality, Asia Pacific Security, Industrial Development, Marketing and Investment, Economic and Trade, International Educational Cooperation and other aspects of Sinology.
Benefits of Fellowship
- Monthly grants are paid at the beginning of every month;
- Professors, associate professors, research fellows, or associate research fellows: NT$60,000 (approximately USD2,000); and
- Assistant professors, assistant research fellows, or doctoral candidates: NT$50,000 (approximately USD1,666)
- One round-trip, economy-class ticket to Taiwan; and
- Accident insurance (plus a medical insurance for accidental injuries) coverage of NT$1million.

Please note that the “Taiwan Fellowship” is open for applications from MAY 1ST TO JUNE 30TH, 2021.
All applicants should submit their online application and a paper copy to the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Saint Lucia, Reduit Beach Ave., Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
